Minecraft’s Biggest Xbox One Update Ever
« on: December 18, 2015, 06:17:05 PM »

Minecraft on Xbox One and 360 is suddenly a much bigger, better game thanks to version 1.8.8.

So, if you thought you’d had enough of the Never, think again.

The new update packs in more to see, new things to do, craft and explore, plus rabbits!

New biomes include more forests and tundra, plus the Deep Ocean, helping create more ideas for builders and places to explore for miners.

Welcome to a better Minecraft

New blocks including Granite, Red Sandstone, Sea Lanterns and Packed Ice to expand player’s construction options.

While gardens can be made more attractive with Blue Orchids, Sunflowers, Azure Bluets, Tulips and Lilacs.

The update includes mighty sub-aquatic Ocean Monuments where the Elder Guardians await to test players courage, with big rewards for those who succeed.

All in all, that’s a lot of content for what isn’t exactly a huge download, see the full list of content over on the Mojang site.

With this and a new episode of Minecraft Story Mode out, its a busy week for fans.

Now that Xbox One is a Windows 10 device, it does seem odd that it still gets the slightly out of date console version.

Perhaps that will change when Minecraft 2 arrives and Microsoft tries to push the Xbox One version as the leading edition.
