New Xbox Experience: Preview Program

[javajolt]

As many of you know, Microsoft announced at E3 that the Xbox One would be receiving a major overhaul in design and performance. The Home/Dashboard was changed, snap was replaced by a much faster guide, and many more improvements were announced.

The New Xbox Experience is launching very soon, but before it does, the team over at Xbox has allowed Preview Members to opt-in to testing the new Dashboard and features. In the video above, you can see the new features that will be available to Preview Members very soon. Here are some of the full details:

• New Home: Easier to snap to pins, scroll left to access the guide, new layout for Movies, Music, Apps, and Games

• Guide: New guide replaces previous Snapping feature – double tap Xbox button to open while playing a game, or just scroll left when at the Home. Friends, Messages, and Party load faster and are more efficient

• Notifications: Notifications are now found in the guide and are grouped and organized more clearly

Many other features are included in this massive update, including volume/headset mixers, more console settings, etc. If you are a preview member, you can opt-in today to be ready for when Xbox pushes out the new update for testing.
