The 2015 edition of the Mobile World Congress, also known as MWC 2015, is taking place in Barcelona next month, and the leading mobile brands of the world are set to converge at the event.
Including Microsoft.
Redmond today sent invites to the press for its own press conference at MWC, but quite appropriately, the company did not elaborate on what we can expect — other than the fact that the press conference starts at 8:30 CET on Monday, March 2.
Mark the date.

This makes it the first day of the conference, usually the busiest, and we can expect some new hardware to be unveiled at this press gathering.
Nothing fancy, of course, although we have confirmation that Microsoft is readying new flagship devices based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, most media reports point to these premium smartphones arriving later in the year, alongside Windows 10 for Phones.
For now we can expect refreshes of the midrange offerings from Microsoft, including successors to devices like the Lumia 1320 — a large phablet with a small price tag.
The Lumia 1330 has been spotted more than once online, and it is almost a given that we will see it officially unveiled at MWC 2015.
