OK some very interesting leaks about the next update to Windows 8.1.

Apparently, it seems that right clicking on the tiles will have some interesting new functionality. Added to the new update, Microsoft have added the ability to take a tile and send it to the taskbar.

This is consistent with earlier leaked screenshots that have been shown of Windows 8.1 Update 1.

You can see the pin to taskbar functionality in this snippet below.



Not only that but you can see the 4 tile sizes as well – seems similar to Windows Phone.

Very interesting to see the platform unification attempts going down by MSFT.

This is allegedly Windows 8.1 Build 2014 Update: 6.3.9600.16596.140114-0237 aka 6.3.9600.16596.WINBLUES14_GDR_LEAN.14011 4-0237.
