Windows 8 would be launched on October 26 and the software giant, Microsoft is reportedly planning to spend about $1.5 to $1.8 billion on the Windows 8 marketing blitz starting this week. The software giant has also teamed up with some advertisement agencies to prepare the ads.

Forbes is reporting that Microsoft may spend upto $1.8 billion only on the Windows 8 marketing campaign which would be the biggest and the most expensive advertisement campaign in history of tech industry.
 
Wall Street Journal reports that Microsoft will kick-off the marketing blitz of Windows 8 and it’s Surface tablet this weekend. WSJ also reports that Microsoft is working with Crispin Porter + Bogusky for the ads which would be aired on local TVs.
 
On the other hand, the billion bucks advertisement is already going on with dozens of banners at public places like subways, transit stations etc and also the graffiti artwork campaign which showed up last month with hundreds of artworks on the buildings and sidewalks.
 
Seeing the budget of Microsoft, it seems like the advertisement hasn’t even started and be prepared to be bombarded with Windows 8 and Surface ads. Some of the online advertisement ads have also been leaked showing how Microsoft will publicize the Windows 8 and some training videos are also available depicting how the new users can use Windows 8 and its different features.
 
Microsoft will be launching the Windows 8 for public on October 26 while the official event would be held in New York on October 25. The first ever tablet by Redmond giant named as Surface would be available starting from October 25.
