HTC prepares a competitor for iSlate powered by Chrome OS
« on: January 11, 2010, 02:04:17 AM »

After Google conquered the online environment and became the leading company in search engines and provided the best online productivity tools, now the giant made steps forward to provide also hardware products to consumers, powered by Google`s proprietary OS and apps. If we watch at its evolution, Google made the same things as Apple: after launching iPhone, it was announced iSlate- tablet pc. Smarthouse, from Australia, reports that for almost 18 months Google and HTC developed several version of a future tablet pc, powered by Google Chrome OS.

For its products Apple provides content services, online stores with apps, music, movies, completing the demand for high-quality streams over the internet. It`s the case of Lala, which was bought recently by Apple and it will be included in a future iTunes cloud based. Maybe the same will happen with Google and its future line of hardware products. A Chrome OS tablet will be capable to offer the same content, having the advantage of an early implementation of future web technologies on Google services and apps.

The tablet will be just an interface to access the rich content provided by Google in the cloud. Everything will be on the internet and all media, all data it`s available stored securely on the internet.  This will be translated into a clean interface OS interface, very easy to use and the base for everything will be the web browser.
