The hugely popular and continuously supported trucking and management sim Euro Truck Simulator 2 may finally be about to expand out of its PC-exclusive market. Fresh store pages for the 2012-released title have suddenly appeared across Xbox and PlayStation stores. While details are scarce, an announcement may be imminent for the sim to reach consoles.
Store pages for Euro Truck Simulator 2 have now gone up on both Microsoft's Xbox Store and the PlayStation Store, spotted by Eurogamer. Unfortunately, neither store page lists any release date information for now.
"Travel across Europe as king of the road, a trucker who delivers important cargo across impressive distances," say the new store pages, mirroring the description on Steam. "With dozens of cities to explore from the UK, Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, and many more, your endurance, skill and speed will all be pushed to their limits. If you’ve got what it takes to be part of an elite trucking force, get behind the wheel and prove it!"
Euro Truck Simulator 2 is also known for having a vast number of DLC packs on PC. These add everything from new regions for players to drive and complete missions in (like Greece or Scandinavia) to fresh equipment and paint jobs. It's unclear if these will be present at launch for console players to purchase as well.

There is also a chance that the studio's other sim title, American Truck Simulator, will also be announced for consoles at the same time. The studio CEO Pavel Šebor had already mentioned that the team was looking into bringing its two supported games to Xbox and PlayStation back in 2023.
The Gamescom Opening Night Live show on August 19 or the Future Games Show on August 20 may be where SCS Software plans to unveil the console release. In a recent developer update post, it said that a "brand-new exclusive teaser video" will be going live soon with something special for fans.
