HP’s new Omen Desktop is a gaming powerhouse
« on: June 06, 2017, 02:16:44 PM »

HP is upgrading its flagship gaming desktop with new specs, and more configuration options for gamers. The company’s new Omen Desktop is literally a gaming powerhouse. It starts at only $899, which will get you the Nvidia GeForcce GTX 1050 GPU and 8GB DDR4 RAM. And if you want to get a LOT of power, you can get the most powerful variant which comes with dual GPUs, and you can also choose between either the NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti or the Radeon GX 580 from AMD.

HP is giving users a lot of options with the Omen Desktop. Along with the GPU, gamers can also choose to opt for AMD’s Ryzen processors instead of the classic Intel ones. HP is offering the Ryzen 7 1800X with the most powerful variant of the Omen Desktop, and you can also choose the Intel Core i7-7700K if you want. As for the RAM, you only get 16GB of DDR4 RAM but that should be upgradeable pretty easily.

The I/O of the Omen Desktop is pretty packed too, with 6 OSB 3.0 Type-A ports, 2 USB Type-C ports, and 2 USB 2.0 Type-A ports. The device starts at $899.
