Most, if not all, modern browsers now include tabs as a main browsing feature. While the tabs are meant to improve and quicken your browsing experience, some people are still hindered by the methods of which they use to switch between tabs. This is a tutorial to inform those unaware of handy keyboard shortcuts to quicken the way that you switch between tabs.
CTRL+TAB
Most people are aware of the ALT+TAB shortcut to switch between windows. This shortcut allows users to quickly switch between any open windows (and the desktop in Windows Vista and 7) without having to click around in the taskbar.

http://i48.tinypic.com/2drcll0.jpgThe opposite of ALT+TAB is ALT+SHIFT+TAB, which allows users to go through the line of open windows backwards instead of forwards. As expected, CTRL+SHIFT+TAB lets users to go through their line of tabs, backwards.

If you have a lot of tabs open and don’t want to hold CTRL+TAB to get all the way to the tab you want, a better idea would be using the CTRL+# keyboard shortcuts. To do so, think of each tab as a number, as shown below.
http://i46.tinypic.com/adyovs.jpgNow, all you have to do is press CTRL and the corresponding number to switch to the tab you want. This method is generally quicker as it eliminates the time used between getting from the first tab to the tab you desire.
