Halo 6 Will Be Released On Windows 10
« on: June 16, 2016, 09:22:26 PM »
Halo 6. Or the next whatever Halo game. It’s coming to PCs. It’s coming to Windows 10. In fact, from the look of things, all future Microsoft titles seem to be heading to the platform.

All first-party Microsoft games where it makes sense.

And that is because Phil Spencer has confirmed that there is no ideological reason why Microsoft might not release the next Halo on PC, none at all. The Xbox chief made it clear that the company doesn’t want to keep certain special franchises as exclusives to the console in order to compete with Sony.

He is not about putting content only on console to manipulate Windows gamers to go buy an Xbox.

Logical words.

According to Spencer, a gaming console like Xbox is a different experience from playing on PC. Not better or worse, just different. And the reason why somebody wants to go buy an Xbox is that they want to sit 10 feet from their television with a controller in their lap.

More logical words.

And makes total sense.

As for why Halo 5 is not on PC, the Xbox chief said that Microsoft and 343 Industries are looking to the future. Instead of taking last year’s game and reworking it on the PC, the companies wanted to see what they can do by looking forward to the next game in the popular series.

So with Forza Horizon 3 and the next Halo, which we can call Halo 6, both getting Windows 10 releases, it appears that we are looking at nearly identical Microsoft libraries for both PC and Xbox.
