Army of security and bug updates for Win 8/RT is available

Microsoft has recently released a tons of updates for Windows 8 and Windows RT which have been marked as critical ones. The updates fix security loop holes to prevent remote hacker access to Windows 8 while others fix some bugs in Windows 8 and Windows RT. An update for Adobe Flash Player of Internet Explorer 10 is also available.



Microsoft, for the first time has released so much updates for Windows 8 in a Patch Tuesday since its launch on October 26. Most of the updates are marked critical while others are important.

This update fixes security for Windows 8/RT’s Internet Explorer 10 which could let a remote attacker gain control over your PC through malware.

It basically fixes a security loop hole which could let a hacker access your PC if, you visit a specific file or website which has been infected with a specific malware.

Update for Flash Player of Internet Explorer 10 of Windows 8/RT (KB2755801):
 
Microsoft has also released an update for Flash Player of Internet Explorer 10 of Windows 8/RT. This update is to update Flash Player of Windows 8 to the latest version to fix security loop holes. Adobe released updates for Flash Player but, since, only Microsoft can update the Flash Player of Windows 8 then, the update is released by Microsoft.

Update for .NET Framework 3.5 on Windows 8/RT (KB2769166):
 
The update has been released to fix the pre-mature expiry of digital signature files of Windows 8/RT. The update fixes the issues by giving correctly signed files to the .NET Framework.
 
The update can be downloaded from the Windows Updates for all Windows users including Windows 8, Windows RT and Windows Server 2012.
 
Update for Microsoft Camera Codec Pack for Windows 8/RT (KB 2779444):
 
This update brings new file type support of camera to the Windows 8 apps. The update also gives the capability to view RAW files types.
