With the Xbox One soon to become another Windows 10 device, Microsoft must hope that Windows gamers will pick one up. Especially, after the recent Batman Arkham Knight PC disaster.
The company is also in a pitch battle with Sony to offer an attractive range of consoles with upgraded features.
Both have recently announced models with 1TB hard drives, and while most PC owners might laugh at the concept of 1TB being massive storage, its really those stylish limited editions that help the consoles keep selling.
Sony recent unveiled new black and white models that are lighter and more power efficient. Now. the Xbox company responds in kind with a limited edition version to go with the upcoming Forza Motorsports 6 title.
Shipping in mid-September, when the game launches, you can
pre-order now for $399 with free shipping. The bundle comes with a custom color console and controller, sports car styling and auto sound effects programmed in.
There’s also a digital voucher for a copy of Forza Motorsports 6, plus 10 limited styled DLC cars to race including a 2009 Ferrari Team Forza 458 Italia, 2013 McLaren Team Forza P1 and 2012 BMW Team Forza M5.
There’s still no word on when the Xbox One will get the Windows 10 upgrade, or exactly how many features it will have access to once installed.
But with Microsoft aiming for cross play between PC and Xbox, there should be a lot more opportunities for family gaming and using assets and content stored on either machine.
