Nokia Halts Lumia 2520 Sales Citing Safety Concerns
« on: April 20, 2014, 07:19:51 PM »

Nokia has announced that it is officially suspending the sales of its first ever tablet, the Lumia 2520, citing safety concerns. During internal testing, the company noted that the AC-300 wall charger supplied with the aforementioned tablet poses a health risk. How so? Well, under unfavorable conditions, the plastic charger's exchangeable plug could come loose. People who touch the plug while it is connected to a live socket could get an electric shock.

Nokia is advising its customers to stop using their Lumia 2520 tablets with the wall charger or travel charger immediately. Approximately 30,000 units of the former and 600 units of the latter are said to be impacted by this defect.
