Microsoft shows off Xbox One software in most detailed video yet
« on: November 09, 2013, 04:33:51 AM »
You can tell a major launch is nearing. Microsoft has begun teasing customers with more and more information as each day goes by. Already today, the software giant unveiled a complete lineup, region by region, of the entertainment apps that will ship with the long-awaited Xbox One. But the company has not stopped with just that news -- it has also released a new video that shows off the next-generation console.

The twelve and a half minute flick is the most detailed, by far, to be revealed. It features Yusuf Mehdi and Marc Whitten of Microsoft doing an extended walk-through on the brand new box. You will find live TV, Skype, a game DVR and biometric sign-in features, among other things. It all aims to show off how smooth and fluid the Xbox One interface is, switching seamlessly between tasks.

Couple all of this with launch-day titles like Call of Duty: Ghosts and Forza Motorsports, plus an extensive list of entertainment options that includes Hulu, Netflix, Amazon, HBO, ESPN and a lot more, and you get a potential marketplace winner. Rival Sony is in this game too, and early indications seem to show a relatively close race for consumer dollars this time around. Which console are you leaning towards putting under the tree this December?
