Google has avoided letting us all know the exact release date for Android Honeycomb – the first tablet version of Android OS –. However, a few Taipei sources may have gotten some insider info as to when the OS would be announced. According to DigiTimes, MSI is preparing to sell a Nvidia Tegra 2 based tablet in April or May “after Google releases Android 3.0 in March.”
In the past DigiTimes insider info has been hit or miss, and we’re not sure if Honeycomb is going to be Android 2.4 or Android 3.0 – since Google is yet to confirm version number. Although we are looking at this info favorably due to some previous rumors that suggested a broader February/March release window for Honeycomb.
