New iPod touch supports vibration alerts
« on: September 05, 2010, 09:33:41 PM »

One of the new iPod touch features that Steve Jobs didn’t promote during the introduction of the new device last week, is that Apple’s music player has the ability for vibration alerts. The new iPod touch has two cameras and will support FaceTime. In one of iPod touch feature pages describing FaceTime, Apple mentions the functionality. “If somebody wants to start a video call with you, you ‘ll receive an invitation — along with a vibrating alert — on your iPod touch asking you to join. Simply touch Accept, and the video call begins,” iPod touch page reads. Apple markets FaceTime as a way to have a phone call using sign language, and vibrate will help hard-of-hearing users know when a call is incoming. We expect that the functionality will be available for developers to use it anyway they want similar to the iPhone.
