Title: Cowon’s W2 MID to sport Windows 7
Post by: javajolt on January 16, 2010, 12:12:57 AM

Cowon has made its first real entry into the Mobile Internet Device (MID) world with its W2 device and has put up a web page for it. The device would occupy the higher end of the range with its 1.33GHz Atom processor and Windows 7. It would concentrate on style and sport a relatively low-key, brushed metal design and would only feature a few buttons. The near-exclusive interface of the device is an extra dense 4.8-inch touchscreen with 1,024×600-pixel resolution.

The MID device is designed to have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity as well as multiple USB ports and speakers built-in. Information about the internal storage, battery life and other details are not known for now, as well as the shipping date that is still uncertain.
