Microsoft has just released updates for two more Windows 10 apps, this time Microsoft Phone and Messaging + Skype, both coming pre-installed on both PCs and smartphones.
And since they’re both universal, the same app updates are expected to roll out for mobile devices too, but because there is no change log available at the moment, it’s really hard to say what exactly they bring new.
But it goes without saying that the Phone app is more useful on mobile devices since it lets users start calls and manage contacts, so if you’re currently running Windows 10 Mobile, look specifically after this update. The Messaging + Skype version is also getting some performance improvements, although that’s a bit surprising, given the fact that Skype will soon be available as a stand-alone app in Windows 10.
These updates are available on computers running the retail version of Windows 10, so insider PCs might not be getting them. Obviously, everyone is recommended to download and install them even if no release notes are available, especially because improved performance is very likely to be offered.
And just like always, if the new updates aren’t yet available on your PC, simply launch the store and go to the Downloads and update section to manually look for new versions of your apps.
