Is this a new trend we are witnessing? Established brand name vendors creating Windows 10 Mobile powered phablets? Lenovo certainly is, if we go by this recent spot in China.
The huge device has been spotted at an event in the country, and was actually shown by a Microsoft representative during a presentation about application design.
Perfect time to show off a massive device like this.
Judging by its size, this new piece of hardware looks more like tablet rather than a phablet. A small tablet so to say, with apparently a 6-inch capacitive touchscreen display. Along with the large size, the photo below also shows the touch-sensitive Windows button.
No additional keys at the bottom, though.
A look at the image in full:

Could well be a prototype unit needing additional polish before launch.
If it does gets released, that is.
Lenovo previously said that they were planning to jump in with a Windows 10 Mobile device, but it seems that the company is more interested in a phablet instead of a smartphone.
What we need answers for is that whether this new device will only be launched in China or if it will make appearances around the globe. And, of course, some details on the hardware specifications would be quite welcome, something that show whether this is a high-end phablet or a midrange one.
In any case, things are looking a little up for Windows 10 Mobile as a platform.
With devices like the Acer Jade Prime, Alcatel Idol Pro 4, the HP Elite x3 and now this new one confirmed to be either in development or existence, there are a lot of good choices for those that want Windows on their mobile devices.
