Title: Acer launches the Iconia Tab 8 slate

Today, Acer announced its new tablet named Iconia Tab 8. As the name suggests, this slate comes with a 8-inch Full HD display and it also packs an Intel Atom Z3745 quad-core processor clocked at 1.86 GHz. We find out that the display it’s pressed close to the glass substrate using the Zero Air Gap Technology.

The tablet offers 2 GB of RAM, Intel HD Graphics, a 5-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, 16 or 32 GB of storage, a microSD card slot and a battery that promises up to 7.5 hours of autonomy. Acer Iconia Tab 8 comes with a special features that allows users to unlock the screen with the Touch Wake app.

On the connectivity side we have Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi and a microUSB port. The tablet runs on Android 4.4 KitKat, weighs 360 grams and measures just 8.5 mm in thiness.
