Although, Microsoft has been remaining quiet regarding the Windows 8 pricing but, we have seen some leaks and reports about the pricing of Windows 8. Now, Volume License Advisor of Microsoft is showing the Windows 8 Pro SKU and luckily it is showing the pricing as well i.e. $188 for single time license for single use.

We already know through a report that Windows 8 Pro SKU would cost $69.99 under promotional time period and $199 after Windows promotional period ends in January 2013. Now, the price of $188 for volume licensing customer seems legit but, we don’t have a pricing for the single user other than volume licensing.

Also, the upgrade license for Volume Licensing Customer is mentioned to be $187 but, that doesn’t align with the early reported upgrade pricing for Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 users who will be able to upgrade to Windows 8 Pro for $39.99 and same offer will be available for users of Windows 8 Release Preview who decide to upgrade to Windows 8 Pro.

Users who bought Windows 7 PC after June 2012 will be able to buy Windows 8 upgrade for just $14.99 and the registration for this offer is already open (http://windowsupgradeoffer.com/).

Windows 8 would be launched for public on October 26 in an event in New York and under few weeks everything will be clear regarding pricing, availability and everything else.
