Today Apple began to sell refurbished iPads for the first time since the device’s launch. As always with Apple products, the refurbished models are only available for order from the refurbished section on the Apple online store. There are currently only Wi-Fi iPads available, with each model discounted $50.

This means you can grab a 16GB model for $449, 32Gb model for $549, or the 64GB model for $649. However, if you are planning on doing so you might want to hurry up, as the page notes that supplies are limited. While there are currently no refurbished 3G + Wi-Fi models available, they are shown on the page but listed as Out of Stock. They will also be discounted $50 when available, bringing the price of the entry 16GB model down to $579.

You can grab your refurbished iPad, currently shipping in 1-3  business days here (http://store.apple.com/us/product/FB292LL/A?mco=MTkwNDUxNDM).

I don't understand this...Why buy refurbished, when NEW is only $50.oo more.  Makes no cents (sense) at all.

I still don't want one even if it were half off.
