Microsoft is starting to roll out its new PC Health Check app to Windows 10 users. The Redmond giant announced the rollout on a support page last week, explaining that the Windows 11 PC Health Check app will be delivered automatically via Windows Update (KB5005463) on all devices running Windows 10 version 2004 or later.

“This update installs the PC Health Check application onto Windows 10, version 2004, and later devices. However, we will not install PC Health Check on Windows 11 devices. PC Health Check includes diagnostics to monitor device health and troubleshooting to improve performance, all from the convenience of a single dashboard,” the company explained on the support page.

Microsoft first released the PC Health Check application back in June this year, but its original version received a lot of criticism in light of controversies regarding its system requirements. The company released the updated app as a manual download on the Windows 11 page last month, and it lets users check if their PC meets the minimum hardware requirements for the OS.

The firm says the Windows 11 PC Health Check application will now automatically update itself by default, and Windows 10 users will not be able to turn off these automatic updates.

If you are planning to upgrade your PC, it is recommended to install this optional update since it automatically installs the Windows 11 PC Health Check app without users having to download it manually. You can head into Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates to download the patch.
