CeBit 2014: Schenker Element 10 inch Tablet With Windows 8.1
« on: March 12, 2014, 10:27:25 PM »
Schenker is a brand from Germany that showcased one or two tablets locally, at the CeBIT 2014 show taking place in Hannover these days. The guys of Mobile Geeks were there for some hands on quality time with the Schenker Element 10 inch Windows 8.1 slate.

This device runs on an Intel Bay Trail platform and just so you know, Schenker has a pretty big parent company behind it: Deutsche Bahn, the second biggest transport company in the world. Back to the Element slate, this model packs a 10 inch 1280 x 800 pixel display and a 64 bit Intel Atom Bay Trail quad core processor, as well as an 8 megapixel front camera.

We’ve also got mini HDMI out available, a mini USB port, a microSD card slot and a QWERTY chiclet keyboard in the mix. The product weighs 600 grams and this was only a prototype, so the finalized model may sport modifications. I have to say that the keyboard dock doesn’t look bad at all and I like the stand part of it.
